Hi everybody! I'm finally back again. If you miss me in last few days, I'm so sorry. I miss you too. I'm sorry for not posting any new blog lately. For those who don't know me, I'm actually still in school. I do blog for fun. I just want to share yummy and healthy recipes with friends and people. Cooking and photography is my hobby.  I'm taking summer class right now but after next week, I'm done!!!! Wooohooo! I will have a little bit more time to keep up with my blog. I have been super busy with tests and papers. But anyway, thank you who has been supporting me! Seriously it means a lot!!! I would not be writing a new blog right now, if nobody read it. Please leave your comments, tell me what you think about my blog (anything that I need to improve? or simply just an encouragement). I'm such a newbie. I need a lot to learn and improve. I won't get offended. Promise. In fact, I will really appreciate your comments. Also, if you like this recipe, share it with friends, family, anybody :D Alright, let's jump into today recipe:


      • Prep time: 20 minutes.
      • Cook time: 2 hours ( including the time for the flans to set).
      • Total time : 2 hours and 20 minutes.

  • Caramel Recipe:

    • Place 1/2 cup of sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir and melt it till golden brown. Add 4 tablespoons water. Simmer for 1 more minute till the caramel is thicken a little. 
       
    • Pour the caramel into ramekins. Set aside.

Make the custard:

  • Ingredients:

    • 2 1/2 cups coconut milk (full fat).
    • 1/2 cup firm tofu.
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.
    • A pinch of salt.
    • A pinch of turmeric.
    • 1 teaspoon agar-agar powder.

  • Instruction:

    • Heat coconut milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add agar-agar powder, sugar.
    • Bring it to a boil and then reduce heat to low to let it simmer for 5 minutes.
    • Stir constantly.
    • Add turmeric powder (for color, you can leave it out if you don't have turmeric powder), salt, vanilla extract.
    • Turn off the heat.
    • Put tofu and the milk mixture in a blender. Blend until very smooth.
    • Pour into the ramekins .
    • Cover with plastic wrap and let it set in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
    • Dip the ramekins in hot water to remove the flan more easily. 

Voila!!!
